What is an industrial socket?

2018/12/12

As the name suggests, industrial sockets are used in industry. They are usually divided into 3-pole, 4-pole, 5-pole, etc. The current is usually divided into 16A, 32A, 63A, 125A, 250A, 420A, etc. The protection level can also be divided into IP44 and IP67, both of which are more conventional. Typically, conventional connection devices are used with industrial sockets and industrial outlets to provide years of guaranteed service to users in a typical office environment. However, if the same copper cable or fibre optic connector is exposed to extreme conditions, its performance and reliability will deteriorate. Users must pay expensive maintenance costs to troubleshoot and replace accessories. A new connector specifically designed to create robust Ethernet connections in harsh environments is more robust, stronger and more durable than previous connectors. The new interface is often thought of as an "industrial socket" and its applications are not limited to manufacturing. The connector is designed to withstand harsh industrial environments.
